 Session Notes

    - Day 6 and 7
        - Party begins session at Emerald Loop Caravan Stop. Several players purchase mastodon kor’rundl from Gaeya Iliera and awaken the next morning with **1d10** [temporary hit points] that last for the next 24 hours.
        - Taking notice of the Acorn Sisters, Nihal and Sath approach them. Nihal asks them a few questions and they ask him a few in return and introduce themselves as Lanata and Robur. Joined by a few other party members, they all offer the Acorn sisters gifts for their hospitality (song, music and tokens). The sisters take note of Nezha’s offering of wooden stakes and scold him for using trees to make them. He assures them that they were purchased and he offers them so that the wood can be returned to the forest. The sisters accept this offering and all party members who gave a gift are given a [charm of vitality]        - After dinner, the party decides to make camp by the fire and have a long, uneventful rest.
        - The next morning, Zahari takes it upon herself to pay a visit to the Kruzkrenner goblin family who live on the back of a giant horizonback tortoise. She first meets Papa Drazagorr and Pops Kelbadurn and ask if they need any assistance. While they decline her offer, they do tell her that Auntie Jaller can be found at the rear hut and she often sells potions if she is interested. Zahari meets with Auntie Jaller and purchases a few potions from her. She is eventually joined by Nihal and Nezha. Nihal inquires about the various toys located in the hut, asking if any are made by Blinksy toys. Nezha purchases a few potions.
        - While packing up their belongings to continue to travel to Bazzoxan, Tyvak and Moghra take notice of the dagger hilt hanging from Nihal’s belt. Moghra askes Nihal if she can see the dagger and immediately recognizes it to be her fathers, Kierchaly Wastewalker, who was killed during the Demonic Carrion encounter. She asks if she can purchase the weapon from Nihal, who instead gives her the dagger. In return, she gives Nihal a +1 battleaxe which he gives to Zahari.
    - Day 8
        - Almost to Bazzoxan, the players come across the remains of a dead gloomstalker, its corpse is covered in roiling, wispy shadows. The grass around the creature has been trampled flat and Sath notices footsteps in the dirt. Inspection of the gloomstalker reveals several broken arrow shafts as well as serious burn along its underside, suggesting it was likely killed by archers and some sort of magic that dealt fire or radiant damage. Sath follows the prints in the dirt which leads him through the trampled battlefield and ending at a withered oak tree. Beneath the tree, in plain view, is a silver ring with a small sapphire as well as several blood spots. Sath recognizes this ring as belonging to Irvan Wastewalker. He pockets the ring with the intent to return it to Irvan.
        - The players finally make their way to the gates of Bazzoxan. After being asked if they are mercenaries, they are let into the town. However, as soon as they enter the gates, a huge commotion ensues. The town is being attacked by Gibbering Mouthers. A very brief encounter with Verin Thelyss occurs, where he says he has no time for pleasantries but gives the party the option to either assist the town in fighting or to find a place to hide for the time being. The players opt to fight, and help to take down 5 of the creatures, fighting side by side with Verin.
        - Once the fight is over, Verin pauses briefly to tell the party that they can freely explore Bazzoxan. He answers a few questions and mentions that the party is not the only newcomers to the city - two others have recently arrived, Aloysia Telfan and Prolix Yusaf. He mentions that Aloysia has tried to hire many of his soldiers to act as bodyguards to accompany her into Betrayers’ Rise, while Prolix acts a little too “helpful”. He tells them that he must go check on his wounded soldiers at the infirmary but that they can find him later that evening at the Gatehold Barracks, where he says the party can find food and possibly a place to sleep for the night in return for helping them city with the Gibbering Mouthers.
        - Father Issac mentions wanting to go to the infirmary to help assist with the wounded. Most of the party accompanies him, while Kyra remains outside to keep an eye on the town. Inside the infirmary, the party meets Bautha Dyrr, a drow priest who is treating the injured. The party takes note of a pin in the shape of a black wing that Bautha is wearing and inquire to it’s meaning. She explains that she is a follower of Xalicas and that she disapproves of the reclamation efforts of the guard in Bazzoxan, though she supports the effort to hold back the forces of the Abyss, she believes the Kryn Dynasty’s military presence here is creating needless casualties with little to show for it. She explains that she strives to heal and protect those in Bazzoxan, and she casts cure wounds or lesser restoration on victims for free, as long as she has spell slots to spare. She also mentions that she has a scroll of greater restoration, but she is hesitant to use it as she doesn’t believe she has the skill to do so. Sath asks for the scroll and she says that she would be happy to part with it for 500gp.
        - As the party is wandering around helping the sick, Naevyn Tasithar, a drow scout who is seriously injured calls the party over to her. Here she gives Father Issac a small tiger’s eye carving of a rabbit with her name carved into the bottom and asks if they could please bring it to the Wall of the Unforgotten for her. Issac tries to cure the scout but her wounds are so severe that little can be done. Instead, his efforts only allow for the ceasation of pain, allowing Naevyn to rest peacefully.
        - The party approaches Bautha a second time, and this time inquire if she has happened to see the Rival party. After describing Ayo Jabe, Bautha says that indeed, they have been helping in the infirmary since the attack and can be found in the next room. The party enters the room and sees the rival party helping other patients. Sath approaches Irvan and says they found his ring. Irvan mentions that the ring was his father and he thought it was lost forever. However, Sath does not give the ring to Irvan but instead says he will return the ring to him if he can steal the scroll of Greater Restoration from Bautha and give it to him.
